Loss & Incident Management Officer at Stanbic IBTC

Job Description

• To manage operational incidents, operational losses, governance reporting, audit and regulatory action tracking, reconciliations, stakeholder engagement and reporting activities to ensure effective operational risk management and compliance with internal control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Timely enrichment of all incidents within 48 hours of logging.
• Daily call-over of critical incidents to ensure prioritisation and closure.
• Management of security incidents and operational risk events.
• Freeze and unfreeze branch operational loss GLs for overages and shortages.
• Freeze and unfreeze operational loss GLs relating to fraud and other operational losses.
• appropriate approvals are obtained for loss bookings.
• Track IFR recommendations and closure status.
• Monitor audit actions and open items.
• Track Process and Conduct recommendations.
• Prepare weekly operational loss reports.
• Prepare monthly Operations Control reports.
• Prepare Operations Exco reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management or related discipline
• Professional certifications in Risk Management, Internal Control, Audit or Compliance are an added advantage.

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years experience in Operations, Operational Risk, Internal Control, Audit, Incident Management or any other Banking role.
• Experience in operational loss management and incident reporting.
• Experience in governance and management reporting.
