Logistics Support Services Officer at Scruples Resources

MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Coordinate the movement of personnel, materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Support transportation by road, marine vessel, helicopter, and other approved means.
• Coordinate logistics activities between offshore facilities, shore bases, warehouses, suppliers, and project sites.
• Support the receiving, inspection, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment.
• Track cargo movements and ensure timely delivery to operational locations.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, lifting, and transportation activities.
• Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, manifests, delivery notes, and movement records.
• Support customs clearance and import/export activities where required.
• Monitor logistics contractors, transport providers, and service companies.
• Ensure logistics activities comply with company procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and coordinate daily logistics requirements based on operational schedules.
• Arrange transportation for personnel and materials.
• Coordinate offshore supply runs, crew changes, vessel movements, and cargo transfers where applicable.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve transportation or delivery issues.
• Coordinate with procurement, materials management, warehouse, operations, drilling, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cargo tracking records.
• Verify that vehicles, vessels, and other transportation resources meet required safety standards.
• Support preparation of cargo manifests and shipping documentation.
• Monitor contractor performance, service quality, and delivery timelines.
• Identify logistics risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and operational reporting.
• Ensure efficient use of logistics resources while controlling costs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in oil & gas logistics, marine logistics, offshore operations, warehousing, transportation, or supply-chain services.
• Knowledge of materials movement, cargo handling, transportation coordination, and warehouse operations.
• Experience working with logistics contractors and service providers.
• Familiarity with logistics documentation, cargo manifests, delivery tracking, and inventory systems.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements for transportation, lifting, cargo handling, and offshore logistics.
• Good communication, coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced operational and offshore environments.
