Logistics and Warehousing Officer – Agro-Processing (Cassava & Maize) - Ibese at Ascentech Services Limited

About the Role:

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics and Warehousing Officer to oversee the logistics chain, warehouse activities, and inventory integrity across all locations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in warehousing, logistics coordination, and ERP-based inventory systems, ensuring the smooth movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for efficient material storage, movement, and stock control.
• Coordinate drivers, loading operations, and timely dispatch of goods.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory system across warehouses, silos, and stores.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports to support management decisions.
• Monitor stock levels, raise alerts for low inventory, and ensure optimal material availability.
• Conduct routine spot checks and audits to ensure compliance with inventory policies and safety standards.
• Supervise the identification and proper handling of waste, damaged, or obsolete stock.
• Oversee accurate weighbridge operations and documentation.
• Enforce safety procedures and best practices in all warehouse operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A graduate degree in Social, Applied, Management, or Pure Sciences.
• Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in logistics and warehousing, preferably within a manufacturing or agro-processing setting.
• Proficient in inventory management systems, particularly ERP (Material Management module).
• Logical reasoning and strong time management skills are essential.
• Membership in the Institute of Logistics Management (ILM) is required.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
