    Logistics and Purchasing Analyst

    Job Summary

    • The primary focus of this role is to analyze logistics and purchasing operations, identify areas for improvement, and provide valuable insights and recommendations to optimize efficiency and drive cost savings.
    • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders.

    Responsibilities
    Logistics Analysis:

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data, including transportation costs, lead times, and delivery performance.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving logistics efficiency and reducing costs.
    • Conduct network optimization analysis to enhance distribution strategies and streamline supply chain operations.
    • Collaborate with logistics providers to monitor and evaluate their performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements.

    Purchasing Analysis:

    • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and improve supplier performance.
    • Conduct spend analysis to identify potential cost reduction areas and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
    • Evaluate supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and pricing, and provide recommendations for supplier selection and improvement.
    • Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry dynamics to support informed purchasing decisions.

    Process Improvement:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and enhance logistics and purchasing processes.
    • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process optimization.
    • Develop and implement action plans to streamline workflows, improve lead times, and reduce costs.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in logistics and purchasing operations.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate logistics and purchasing insights, trends, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain logistics and purchasing dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance metrics.
    • Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of logistics and purchasing data.

    Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with logistics providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to gather data, insights, and requirements.
    • Engage with cross-functional teams to align logistics and purchasing strategies with organizational objectives.
    • Provide expertise and guidance to support decision-making processes related to logistics and purchasing.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's Degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a Logistics Analyst, Purchasing Analyst, or similar role, preferably in a logistics or purchasing environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex logistics and purchasing data.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    • Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
    • Knowledge of purchasing principles, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
