Job Overview

YellowDoor Hotels is a boutique executive property in Abuja where guest safety is non-negotiable. As our sole Lifeguard at The pool, you will be the first and last line of defence for every guest in the water. This role suits a disciplined, certified professional who takes pool surveillance seriously and acts without hesitation when it matters most.

Responsibilities

• Maintain unbroken visual surveillance of the pool throughout every shift
• Enforce pool rules firmly and professionally with all guests, every time
• Respond immediately to emergencies - rescue, first aid, CPR, and escalation
• Conduct daily checks of all lifesaving and emergency equipment and log findings
• Record all incidents, rescues, and safety concerns accurately and promptly
• Coordinate with Pool Attendant and management to sustain a safe pool environment

Requirements

•  2-5 years of experience
• Active Lifeguard Certification (RLSS, Red Cross or equivalent)
• First Aid Certification
• CPR Certification
• Water rescue technique
• Incident and hazard documentation
• Pool safety rule enforcement
• Lifeguard certification (active)
• CPR certification (active)
• First Aid certification (active)
• Water rescue techniques
• Incident log and equipment check documentation
• Pool safety regulation knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or hospitality pool setting
• Familiarity with water quality monitoring
