Librarian at Total Child School

• Manage and maintain the library’s physical and digital resources (books, journals, databases, etc.)
• Organize the cataloging, classification, and shelving of library materials.
• Support students and teachers in locating and using library resources effectively.
• Promote reading, literacy, and lifelong learning through programs, clubs, and activities.
• Develop and implement library policies, procedures, and usage guidelines.
• Monitor library usage, ensure discipline, and maintain a quiet and orderly environment.
• Maintain an accurate inventory and oversee the borrowing and return of materials.
• Plan and coordinate book fairs, reading weeks, and other literacy-related events.
• Stay updated with new trends in library management, including the use of digital tools and e-resources.
• Train and supervise library assistants or volunteers where applicable.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate library resources into the curriculum.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Library Science, Information Management, Education, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., from a recognized library association) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in library management software and digital research tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong passion for books, literacy, and student development.
