The Legal Officer supports the organization by handling day-to-day legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and assisting with contract management and corporate documentation.
This role ensures that the company’s operations are legally sound and helps minimize risk through practical, timely legal support.
Key Responsibilities
Review, draft, and assist in negotiating contracts, MOUs, service agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.
Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Support management and departments with legal queries and practical guidance.
Liaise with external counsel on litigation or specialized legal matters, preparing documentation and tracking case progress.
Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, briefs, or internal memos when needed.
Maintain an organized filing system for contracts, legal documents, and correspondence.
Assist HR with employment law matters, policy updates, and disciplinary processes.
Review internal processes to flag potential legal risks.
Support negotiations with vendors, partners, or regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); BL required.
Minimum of 2 years post-call experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law.
Practical experience in contract drafting and legal documentation.
Good understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management.
Strong attention to detail and discretion.
Clear communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external parties.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
