Legal Associate at Busha Digital LTD

We are looking for a proactive Legal Associate to join our Legal and Compliance team. In this role, you will be a commercial enabler, helping the business navigate complex regulatory landscapes while driving growth. You will bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology (crypto, stablecoins, payments) and robust corporate governance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements. You will build and maintain internal tools like clause libraries, playbooks, and legal guidance materials to help our teams move fast and safely.
• Research & Advisory: Conduct deep-dive legal research on emerging developments in virtual assets, blockchain, payments, and global financial services. You will translate complex laws into clear, actionable compliance notes and address cross-functional team escalations.
• Cross-Border Licensing: Support entity registration, regulatory approvals, permit management, and corporate secretarial functions across all our operating jurisdictions.
• Disputes & Stakeholder Management: Support the management of regulatory inquiries, investigations, disputes, and litigation. You will act as a key liaison with external counsel, regulators, auditors, and key service providers.

Requirements

• Experience: 2-5 years of post-qualification legal experience within a fintech, fast-growing tech startup, or a top-tier commercial law firm's technology/finance practice.
• Mindset: A strong commercial enabler philosophy. You are a problem-solver who figures out how the business can innovate safely.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracting, payments infrastructure, and emerging digital asset/VASP frameworks.
• Tech Forward: Digitally native, highly organised, and eager to adopt legal tech and automation to optimize workflow delivery
