Legal Assistant at CIG Motor Ltd

What you would do

• Keep department organized by establishing and organizing files, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines, documenting actions, inputting information into file database and case management software, confirming case status and related actions;
• Schedule meetings, appointments and drafting letters;
• Prepare minutes, reports, legal opinions and corporate notes as directed by your reporting line supervisor;
• Organize and prepare agendas and papers for meetings and committees;
• Take minutes and drafting resolutions as required;
• Follow up on actions from meetings;
• Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action; Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors;

What you should have

• Bachelor’s degree in law (essential);
• Minimum of 2 years work experience as a corporate legal practitioner;
• Admitted attorney of at least two years standing;
• Experience in drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents;
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills;
