Coordinate and manage all geophysical aspects Of drilling campaigns.
Oversee well placement and geosteering activities using real-time geophysical data.
Ensure geophysical data acquisition (LWD/MWD, VSP, seismic while drilling, etc.) aligns with operational and geological objectives.
Monitor real-time data and validate its quality and accuracy.
Interpret seismic and well log data to guide wellbore trajectory and casing decision
Integrate data from multiple sources (seismic, logging, mud logging, drilling) for comprehensive analysis.
Work closely with subsurface teams (geologists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers) drilling teams to ensure optimal well delivery.
Act as the geophysical point-of-contact for the drilling supervisor and rig crew.
Deliver daily geophysical reports and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Provide post-well analysis, including comparison of actual vs. predicted geological structure.
Identify geological [geophysical risks and recommend mitigations.
Ensure all geophysical operations are in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelor or Masters degree in Geophysics, Geology or a related field.
Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of National and International experience in the Seismic industry.
The geophysical personnel MUST be COMEG registered.
Experienced at managing a team and working in multidisciplinary team.
Experience as a Party Chief is an added advantage.
Experienced in QA/QC of 3D seismic operations including field processing/ seismic acquisition contractor's acquisition (recording) and processing systems.
Good knowledge Of the use Of field planning software, e.g. Omni or Mesa.
Good knowledge of the use of a processing software, e.g. Vista.
