    Lead, Blending

    Objectives

    Identify blending opportunities and conduct blending operations to capture added value.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Sourcing of feedstock for blending.
    • Blending of feedstock components into defined finished product specifications.
    • Convert off-spec products to meet destination acceptable specifications.
    • Continuously monitoring and analysing market trends to optimize blending strategies and operations.
    • Liaise with other departments, such as logistics, to coordinate blending operations and facilities.
    • Maintain accurate records of blending operations, including inventory levels, quality control data, etc.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to petroleum blending.

    Educational Qualification

    • A first degree in Social/Basic/Physical Sciences, Engineering or any other relevant discipline
    • Membership of relevant professional body is an added advantage

    • Knowledge of blending processes
    • Skilled in quality control
    • Market and industry knowledge
    • Skilled in inventory management
    • Skilled in risk identification
    • Sales and marketing skills
    • Mathematical skills (Linear & Non-Linear Programming)
    • Knowledge of logistics
    • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
    • Problem-solving and decision-making
    • Communication and interpersonal skills
    • IT skills
    • Assays analysis skill
    • Knowledge of chemical usage and applications

    Experience

    • Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience
    • Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.

    Age Limit: 37 years
