Laravel Full-Stack Engineers at Iconic Open University

• We are seeking experienced Laravel Full-Stack Engineers to join our Software Development Unit. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, QA, and other developers to build and maintain our suite of web applications and platforms that serve students, staff, and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack Laravel-based web applications.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented PHP (Laravel) backend code.
• Build interactive, responsive front-end components using Vue.js, React, AlpineJS or Blade.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Participate in software architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement frontend features with precision.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Maintain version control using Git.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack.
• Contribute to planning, estimation, and development sprints using Agile methodology.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack development experience with Laravel.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with in-memory data stores such as Memcached and Redis.
• Experience with different caching mechanisms.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proficiency in frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or AlpineJS.
• Proficiency in CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, TailwindCSS, etc.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
• Proficient with version control tools, especially Git.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and DevOps pipelines.
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with different caching mechanisms (e.g., database query caching, HTTP caching, object caching)
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and writing automated tests.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean..
• Previous work with educational platforms, LMS, or EdTech tools.
• Understanding of accessibility and security best practices.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
