    Laboratory Technician (Pharmaceutical Company)

    About Our Client:

    Our client is a reputable pharmaceutical company based in Lagos, Nigeria, committed to producing high-quality pharmaceutical products to meet the healthcare needs of the population. With state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated team of professionals, our client aims to ensure the safety, efficacy, and reliability of its products.

    Role Summary:

    As a Laboratory Technician at our client's pharmaceutical company, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to support product development, quality control, and research activities. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of pharmaceutical products through accurate and reliable testing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation.
    • Prepare and standardize reagents, solutions, and media for use in laboratory testing, following established protocols and procedures.
    • Record and interpret test results accurately, documenting findings and deviations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, performing calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable and accurate test results.
    • Assist with method validation, method transfer, and equipment qualification activities, following regulatory requirements and guidelines.
    • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and R&D, to support product development, quality improvement, and research projects.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
    • Proven experience working as a Laboratory Technician or Laboratory Assistant in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting.
    • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and microbiological testing methods.
    • Familiarity with cGMP regulations, pharmacopoeial standards, and laboratory quality systems.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
