Lab Technician at Wellspring College

we are currently seeking a qualified Lab Technician to join our team. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and experiments to support the educational curriculum and ensure the smooth operation of our science labs. You will work closely with teachers and students to provide technical assistance, set up lab equipment, prepare materials and solutions, and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe lab environment, following safety protocols, and disposing of hazardous materials properly. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, has excellent organizational and communication skills, and is passionate about science education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments
• Assist teachers and students in performing laboratory procedures
• Collect and process data, and analyze results
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities
• Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe lab environment

Requirements

• Minimum of OND in Science Lab Tech or relevant discipline.
• Proven experience as a Lab Technician or similar role
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
