    Lab Diagnostics Center Manager

    Overview

    We’re looking for an organized, people‑focused leader to run the day‑to‑day operations of our medical‑lab diagnostic center. You’ll oversee staff, ensure quality results, keep the lab compliant, and drive growth while maintaining a patient‑first culture.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Team Leadership– Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor a team of technologists, phlebotomists, and support staff; conduct performance reviews.
    • Quality & Compliance– Implement and monitor CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189, and local regulations; lead internal audits and proficiency testing.
    • Operations Management– Manage workflow, turnaround times, and equipment maintenance; optimize staffing to meet volume fluctuations.
    • Financial Oversight– Prepare budgets, track expenses, and drive revenue by expanding test menus and improving billing processes.
    • Customer Service– Serve as the primary point of contact for physicians, patients, and insurance providers; resolve issues promptly and professionally.
    • Continuous Improvement– Analyze KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and introduce lean or Six‑Sigma initiatives to boost efficiency and accuracy.
    • Technology Integration– Evaluate and rollout new diagnostic instruments, LIS upgrades, and data‑management tools.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in a clinical lab, with at least a years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • familiarity with laboratory accreditation standards.
    • Strong budget‑management and staffing skills; proficient with LIS and standard lab software.

    Essential Skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Detail‑oriented with a solid grasp of quality‑control principles.
    • Decisive problem‑solver comfortable with data‑driven decision‑making.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

    Work Conditions

    • Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with occasional weekend or on‑call coverage for emergencies.
    • On‑site presence required; occasional travel to regional clinics or conferences.
