Job Description

• We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant will work under the supervision of the Head Chef to ensure that the kitchen is clean, organized, and running smoothly.
• The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for various tasks such as preparing ingredients, cleaning utensils, and maintaining kitchen equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing meat, and making sauces.
• Ensure that all ingredients are properly stored and labeled.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
• Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

• The Kitchen Assistant will work in a busy hotel kitchen environment.
• The position requires standing for extended periods of time, lifting heavy objects, and working in a hot and humid environment.
• The position may require working weekends, holidays, and evenings.
