Kids Coding and Robotics Instructor at Globaltech Hub Systems

Job Description

• We are looking for an enthusiastic computing and technology individual to teach our Coding and Robotics Summer Camps at designated school! This is a part-time contracting position, with opportunities to grow and become a permanent lead instructor and work in other locations of Globaltech Academy.
• It is an ideal position for Elementary school teachers for supplement income, Stay at home Parents or University students aiming for a career in Teaching or Education. Full training will be provided before the start date.
• The successful candidates for this position should be able to provide a close-knit learning environment for students and be capable of integrating technology into the curriculum.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Effectively manage classroom with children age between 6 years to 17 years old.
• Engage students in fun and relevant lessons based on established curriculum and specific classroom needs
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all sessions, observe and track students’ progress and attendance
• Reinforce positive student behaviour and clubhouse rules
• Maintain a positive relationship with all students, families and staff
• Communicate with management to discuss member progress, needs, and concerns.
• Attend required weekly meetings and professional development training organized by Management.
• Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence, and poise
• Prior to teaching experience is a plus

Qualifications

• OND, NCE, HND, Bachelor's Degree
• Tech-savvy - Understanding of technology, including software, programming, and hardware
• Person of high moral character who is good with kids
• Passionate about computer science and learning
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and address varying needs
• Ability to Classroom management
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Energetic & willing to learn new things
• Must be fluent in English
• Must be able to move to designated school and carry teaching equipment like laptops, tablets, robotic kits, etc.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (9am - 1.30pm)

COVID-19 Considerations:

• Use of medical face masks and face shield. Following Sanitization practices. Limited number of students. Limited students per equipment. Emergency quarantine provisions at the facility for students showing COVID symptoms during engagement.
