Job Overview

• Dutum is seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Surveyor with at least two years of post-NYSC experience to join our dynamic team.
• The ideal candidate will assist in land and building surveys, ensuring accuracy and precision for construction projects
• You will work closely with senior surveyors and project managers to support project deliverables, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the overall success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, including topographical, boundary, and building surveys, to gather accurate data.
• Assist in setting out sites, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations.
• Use a variety of surveying instruments and equipment, including GPS, total stations, and digital levels.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design plans and provide necessary data for construction.
• Maintain accurate records of survey data, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and cost estimates related to surveying works.
• Support project progress tracking and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Address any surveying issues that arise on-site and offer solutions as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Surveyor or Project Manager, and report directly to them.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of two years of post-NYSC experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in using surveying software and equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, practices, and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel to various project locations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional membership or certification in a relevant body is an added advantage.
