As the Junior OTC Trader, you will be responsible for supporting foreign exchange trading activities within the over-the-counter (OTC) market. You will assist with trade execution, market monitoring, reporting, and compliance, while ensuring accurate documentation, timely settlements, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
Assist in executing OTC FX trades, monitoring real-time market rates, and recording trade details accurately
Track daily currency positions, prepare trade blotters, rate sheets, and support end-of-day reconciliations
Gather and analyze FX market data, preparing daily and weekly market intelligence reports
Support compliance with CBN, IMTO, KYC, and AML requirements while maintaining proper trade documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in FX trading within a bank, IMTO, or financial institution
Strong understanding of the Nigerian FX market, regulatory guidelines, and OTC trading dynamics
Excellent numerical, analytical, communication skills with high attention to detail and integrity
