About the Role

• We are seeking a passionate, mission-driven, and highly skilled Junior Class Mathematics Tutor to support underserved students in building a strong foundation in Mathematics and achieving excellent academic outcomes.
• This role is ideal for an educator who has successfully helped students with low or average performance — including those with little interest in Mathematics — develop confidence, understanding, and strong results in the subject.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update Mathematics curriculum as needed
• Support students with homework, projects, test preparation, and revision.
• Help students understand key mathematical concepts taught in class
• Teach effective study strategies, note-taking skills, and test-taking techniques
• Develop and distribute teaching materials such as worksheets and study guides
• Conduct quizzes, tests, and assessments to track progress and identify learning gaps
• Provide consistent, positive, and constructive feedback to students
• Report students’ progress and challenges to Management
• Prepare students for academic competitions and external opportunities
• Use technology and audio-visual tools to enhance learning and understanding

Key Requirements

• Minimum of A grade in Mathematics at both Junior WAEC and Senior WAEC levels
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics to junior secondary school students
• Demonstrated success in helping low and average-performing students achieve strong results
• Experience working with students in underserved or low-resource communities
• Strong teaching and classroom engagement skills
• Ability to use computers and basic educational technology to support instruction
