Junior Accountant at Softhills Limited

Responsibilities:

• Performing basic accounting tasks such as bookkeeping and recording financial transactions
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
• Providing support for audits and tax filings
• Assisting with payroll processing
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations  
•  Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable, issue invoices, update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and assist the manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with other accounting projects as given by the manager.  
• • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, balance sheets, and other pivotal financial documents.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
• Collaborate harmoniously with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and additional financial tasks. 

Requirements:

• Degree. in accounting/finance or related field
• Minimum of 2 years work experience as an accountant
• Spreadsheet proficiency, Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills (Excel) is important
