We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage the company's day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing reconciliations, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the organization's overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and cash flow statements to support management decision-making.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and vendor payments.
Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and other financial reporting requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required financial documentation.
Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Maintain proper filing of financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2 – 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ACA) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
