Java Developer at Oatek Concepts and Technologies Limited

Location: Ikeja GRA, Lagos (Hybrid)

We seek a highly skilled Java Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining scalable applications. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying high-quality Java applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications using frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Jakarta EE.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless system interactions.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Ensure code quality, security, and scalability while troubleshooting and debugging applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers to deliver efficient solutions.
• Implement best practices in software development, including CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and version control (Git).
• Stay updated with the latest Java technologies and trends to enhance system performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development and understanding of programming languages such as PHP (Laravel, C#, ASP.NET, etc.).
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with databases (SQL & NoSQL) and writing optimized queries.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of version control tools like Git and project management tools like JIRA.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
