IT Systems Engineer at LinkOrg Networks

Job Description

• The IT System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Linkorgnet’s IT infrastructure.
• This role oversees the maintenance and security of company intranets and computer systems.
• Their duties include installing antivirus or malware protection software, responding to employee concerns or drafting documents to help employees use computer systems. IT Systems Engineer to take ownership of our infrastructure, virtualisation environment, Microsoft 365 ecosystem, internal servers, and day-to-day IT operations.
• This role suits someone hands-on, versatile, and comfortable working across servers, virtual machines, networks, end-user support, and cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Virtualisation:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines using Proxmox VE, VMware, andHyper-V.
• Build and administer Windows Server 2019 ,Linux servers, Domain Controllers, and internal application servers.
• Configure RAID, manage storage, and handle server rebuilds after hardware failures.
• Deploy internal tools such as Zabbix, Netbox, TFTP, and other VMs.

Microsoft 365 & AD Administration:

• Create and manage user accounts, shared mailboxes, and security groups.
• Configure MFA, licenses, email security, signatures, and support organisation-wide onboarding.
• Manage Azure AD identity lifecycle and troubleshoot O365 issues.

Networking & Systems:

• Support SAN configuration (Dell EqualLogic) including IP addressing and diagnostics.
• Configure printers, shared folders, DNS records, and subdomains for applications (Zoho, internal apps, hosting).
• Assist with VLAN, LAN setup, switch configuration guidance, and NOC visibility setups.

Application & Cloud Support

• Enable and configureIIS for internal application hosting.
• Work with vendors (Microsoft, Dell, Zoho, hosting providers) to resolve escalated issues.
• Support integration and setup of new applications in house and to customers.

General IT Support:

• Provide hands-on support to employees (hardware, software, accounts, devices).
• Deliver1st and 2nd line supportacross desktops, laptops, networking, printers, applications, and security issues (onsite & remote)
• Configure new laptops, printers, scanners, Teams, Outlook, and mobile setups.
• Support cybersecurity training and ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications & Skills

• A Minimum of B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering or any related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Enterprise Virtualization Solutions, Certifications in VMware, EMC and other Virtualization/Storage/Backup Technology Required.
• Certification in MCSE, CompTIA Server+ any related certifications will be an advantage.

Knowledge and Experience in:

• Strong experience in Unix/Linux, Windows AD, ERPs, LANs/WANs, Windows Server Environment, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, Print server
• Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems
• Knowledge of Git or other version-control software
• Strong experience with Windows Servers, Proxmox/VMware, AD, O365
• Comfortable with DNS, subdomains, hosting, IIS, and SAN troubleshooting
• Skilled at diagnosing infrastructure-level issues
• Good communicator with ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive, organised, and comfortable owning end-to-end IT operations.

Salary
N400,000 - N450,000 monthly.
