    IT Support

    Job description

    We are looking for a IT support who can double as an staff junior software (Laravel) developer providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly with good understanding of how to provide end-user support and comfortable with both front and back end programming. You will be responsible for providing end-user support to the staff of the organisation, managing its infrastructure both and developing web application, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, writing clean code and scalable algorithms.
    Responsibilities

    • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
    • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
    • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
    • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
    • Setting up accounts for new users
    • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
    • Testing new technology
    • Developing front end website application.
    • Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
    • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
    • Designing and developing APIs.
    • Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
    • Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
    • End-user support
    • DB administration
    • Active directory management
    • Network device management

    Requirements

    • The candidate must be a B.Sc. graduate with either of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related course.
    • Good understanding of ITIL in principle particularly in the Service Operation space, covering Service Desk, Incident Management, Problem Management and Knowledge Management.
    • Good knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows) and associated hardware and software (MS Office, MS Project, Visio) necessary to install and support users from an operational perspective.
    • Passionate about customer service and ability to handle challenging customer conversations.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Proven Laravel developer with at least 1-year experience.
    • Proficiency in fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
    • Proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and .Net.
    • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Good problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail.
