IT Specialist at IPT Powertech

Position Summary:

• The IT Specialist will oversee system administration, network management, and user support while ensuring compliance with IT policies and security standards.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in IT infrastructure management, systems administration, or related role.
• Demonstrated experience in IT security, firewalls, intrusion detection, and disaster recovery planning.
• Proven ability to manage website/web application infrastructure securely.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CCNA, or ITIL are an advantage.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of IT security policies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
• Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Navision and database management.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware, software installation, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of IT architecture, systems integration, and optimization,
• Knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery, and data integrity processes.
• Ability to manage IT projects from planning to execution.
• Familiarity with web development, website management, and application security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
