IT Officer at Rembrandt Global Solutions (RGS)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, and servers.
• Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems on desktops computers, laptops, printers, servers and other IT-related installations.
• Ensure security of IT systems, including data backup, antivirus protection, and access controls.
• Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and security.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Assist in planning and executing IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and installations.
• Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and training.

Qualifications

• HND / B.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in an ICT role.

Skills / Requirements:

• Familiarity with operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
• Proven experience in IT support or administration.
• Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
