Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Setting up accounts for new users
• Repairing, replacing and purchase of equipment when necessary.
• Liaise with internet service provider to make payments and ensure there is uninterrupted internet connection.
• Testing new technology
• Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Any other function as may be assigned by the General Manager and or the GMD

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Work Experience

• First bachelor’s degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
• Professional certification will be added advantage
• Minimum of 4 years relevant post-graduation experience.

• Proven experience as Info Tech Officer
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• A keen eye for detail
• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Technical

• Proven experience as Info Tech Officer
