    IOCC Duty Manager

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Age of 21
    • Educated to High school level (University degree preferred)
    • Must hold a current NCAA (Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority) Flight Dispatcher license
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in flight dispatch and operational control activities
    • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft suites, Jeppesen suite, AIMS and any relevant IT skill
    • Must have strong analytical and numerical skills
    • Must have strong negotiating and relationship management skills
    • Must have Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
    • Crew Rostering/control experience is an added benefit

    Job Role

    The IOCC Duty Manager will monitor the day-to-day operations of Green Africa Airways ensuring that operations are carried out in an efficient way in accordance with the planned program and take necessary actions in cases of disruptions. The role reports to the Director of Flight Operations.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Prepare Operational Flight Plan (OFP) Using Jet Planner and/or any other flight planning tool
    • Review, authorize and issue an Operational Flight Plan for all scheduled and non-scheduled flights inclusive of training and test flight operations, keeping in line with Safety, Regulatory, Customer Service, and Corporate fiscal requirements.
    • Formulating and implementing revised Operational Flight Plans when conditions warrant and communicating the revised plans to Pilot-in-Command
    • Analyze and evaluate meteorological and NOTAM information to determine potential hazards to the safety of flight and to select the most desirable and economic route of flight
    • Ensure the right planning of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to aircraft type, distance, and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) limitations
    • Ensure the Pilot-in-Command is provided with a thorough and professional flight crew briefing, covering all significant information that may impact the operation of his flight
    • Communicating to Aeronautical Information Services all Flight Plan requirements initiating and coordinating airport handling when diversions to offline airports are required
    • Ensure optimum utilization and functionalities of all systems and processes in IOCC
    • Cancel flights if unsafe conditions threaten the safety of aircraft and passengers with the approval of the Director of Flight Operations
    • Ensure that crew members, Flight dispatchers operate within the prescribed duty time limitation
