The Inventory and Quality Control Officer plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring that all products meet the brand’s high-quality standards before reaching customers. This position supports both the production and sales teams by implementing inventory systems, managing stock movement, and conducting detailed inspections of garments to uphold the brand’s reputation for excellence in ready-to-wear fashion. The role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship in fashion.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Oversees stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely restocking, and efficient inventory turnover.
Stock Monitoring & Reconciliation: Tracks incoming and outgoing inventory, conducts regular stock counts, and reconciles physical stock with digital records to prevent discrepancies.
Production Tracking: Coordinates with production teams to monitor the status of orders, track quantities, and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
Quality Assurance: Implements and enforces quality standards across all products, inspecting materials and finished items to ensure they meet brand specifications.
Defect Management: Identifies, documents, and manages defective items, coordinating repairs or replacements while minimizing losses.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Collaborates with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and resolves any supply or quality-related issues.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintains accurate records of inventory movements, quality checks, and performance reports to support decision-making and forecasting.
Requirements:
3 years of experience in inventory control or quality assurance, preferably in the fashion or apparel industry.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and fashion production standards.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software or spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for product quality and finish.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
