About the job

• Support the implementation and continuous monitoring of internal control systems across business operations.
• Conduct periodic control reviews to ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, and approval matrices.
• Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and emerging risks, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and investigations, including follow-up on agreed action plans.
• Assist in identifying, assessing, and documenting operational and compliance risks across the organization.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of risk mitigation controls and participate in risk and control self-assessment exercises.
• Conduct physical inventory counts, spot checks, and asset verifications to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, variance analysis, and investigations of discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Maintain accurate documentation of control reviews, audit findings, management responses, and compliance reports.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to promote control awareness and provide guidance on internal control and compliance requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in Internal Control, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance roles.

Experience

• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, oil & gas, or service-based organizations is an advantage.
• Professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA, CISA, CIA, CRMA) will be an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills.

• Strong understanding of internal control, compliance, and risk management principles.
• Knowledge of inventory management, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office productivity tools.
