Internal Auditor at Cormart Nigeria Limited

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Auditor to join our team
• The Auditor will be responsible for examining financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing insights to enhance operational and financial efficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of financial statements and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Examine and analyze financial records, accounting systems, and procedures.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and provide recommendations for improving processes and controls.
• Assess risks and identify areas of non-compliance or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with management to develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure improvements are achieved.
• Evaluate the organization’s adherence to legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns, if applicable.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and auditing practices.
• Provide support during external audits, ensuring timely responses to queries and documentation requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA is an added advantage.
• Proven experience as an Auditor or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
