Interior Architect at Elvaridah

Job Summary

• We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Architect to lead the design and technical development of interior spaces across residential, commercial, hospitality, and corporate projects.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for translating client requirements into innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing interior environments while ensuring compliance with architectural standards, building regulations, and project objectives.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong design, space-planning, and technical drawing skills, with experience managing projects from concept development through construction documentation and site execution.

Key Responsibilities
Design Development & Space Planning:

• Develop creative and functional interior architectural concepts that align with client requirements and project objectives.
• Prepare detailed space plans, layouts, mood boards, and design presentations.
• Produce innovative design solutions that optimize space, functionality, aesthetics, and user experience.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
• Develop furniture layouts, ceiling plans, lighting concepts, and material specifications.

Technical Design & Documentation:

• Produce detailed architectural drawings, construction details, and technical documentation.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, joinery details, and fit-out drawings.
• Develop comprehensive drawing packages for project execution and approvals.
• Ensure all designs comply with building regulations, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate revisions and updates throughout project phases.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, engineers, consultants, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance during implementation.
• Coordinate with procurement teams regarding material specifications and finishes.
• Monitor project timelines and support successful project delivery.

Material Selection & Specification:

• Research and specify materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, and fittings suitable for each project.
• Prepare material schedules and specifications.
• Evaluate products and suppliers to ensure quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay informed on industry trends, innovations, and sustainable design solutions.

Site Supervision & Quality Control:

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to approved designs.
• Review workmanship and installations to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Resolve design-related issues and provide technical solutions during construction.
• Participate in project inspections, snagging, and final handover processes.

Client Management:

• Meet with clients to understand project requirements, preferences, and expectations.
• Present design concepts, drawings, and material selections.
• Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design integrity and project objectives.
• Provide professional advice on design, functionality, and budget considerations.

Design Research & Innovation:

• Stay updated on emerging design trends, materials, technologies, and best practices.
• Contribute innovative ideas that enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Support the continuous improvement of the firm's design standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Professional membership with relevant industry bodies is an added advantage.
• Master's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design is an advantage.

Experience:

• 2 - 5 years' experience in interior architecture, interior design, or architectural design.
• Proven experience handling residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, or corporate interior projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing completed interior architecture and fit-out projects.
• Experience in project coordination and site supervision is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3Ds Max, Lumion, or similar design software.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing and construction documentation.
• Expertise in space planning and interior fit-out design.
• Knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and safety standards.
• Ability to produce high-quality presentations and visualizations.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting design.
