Information Technology Officer at Flux Logistix

Role Objective

• Ensuring that the computer systems (hardware & software) and networks of the organisation are efficient, fit for purpose, modern and suitably protected

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead in researching solutions to various IT related problems, evaluating alternatives, and providing recommendations.
• Responsible for configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting all IT infrastructure including but not limited to Firewalls, Databases, Servers, Malware Protection Software, Cisco Switches/Routers, PBX, CCTV etc.
• Responsible for creating systems and network growth plans, and annual IT budgets.
• Responsible for creating and administering IT processes and plans (including Change Management process and Disaster Recovery plan).
• Manage inventory of computer systems, applications, and IT equipment.
• Keep the MD up to date on the latest tools and technologies that reduce downtime, keep the company’s IT systems safe, and increase productivity.
• Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone), including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners, and more.
• Setting up accounts for new users/staff, ensuring they know how to log in.
• Repairing and replacing parts of equipment as necessary.
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
• Solving password problems for users/staff.
• Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings.
• Checking computer equipment for electrical safety.
• Carrying out periodic staff trainings on system usage, troubleshooting, security, and risks.
• Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults.
• Maintaining records of software licenses.
• Managing stock of equipment, consumables, and other supplies.
• Responds to system breakdown.
• All other technical support as required.

Education Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Professional certification or Master’s Degree will bean added advantage.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years post NYSC experience as an IT Officer

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Knowledge of current Windows information technology systems, infrastructures, and technologies
• Familiarity with Windows Servers and Desktop Environments
• Hands on experience installing and maintaining network systems
