This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the technology infrastructure that supports our app. This role will play a vital role in ensuring the app's reliability, security, and optimal performance.
Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance and management of the brokerage app's technology infrastructure, including servers, databases, and networking equipment.
Ensure the infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure to support the app's operations.
Provide technical support to app users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions promptly.
Collaborate with customer support teams to resolve user-reported technical problems.
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect the app and its data from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
Coordinate and manage software and app updates to ensure they are deployed efficiently and do not disrupt app functionality.
Manage data backups, storage, and recovery procedures to safeguard critical app data.
Develop and implement data retention policies.
Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
Collaborate with external technology vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure the app's technology needs are met.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of technology failures or disasters.
Provide training to app users and employees on technology-related topics, including app usage and best practices.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
Minimum of Four (4) years relevant post-qualification experience
Master's degree or relevant professional certificate e.g CISA, CCNP, CCNA etc is an added advantage
Proven experience in IT support and infrastructure management, preferably in the finance or brokerage industry.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience in implementing security measures.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Familiarity with database management systems and networking concepts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing user support and collaborating with teams.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the finance industry is a plus.
