Information Technology Manager at Westfield Consulting

Job Purpose

• Define, implement and manage the strategic direction of all digital and information technology processing, communication systems, planning, operations and technical information services to achieve the Bank’s corporate goals and objectives.
• Also to maintain Information Technology strategies by managing staff, researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Process:

• Plan, implement and update Information Technology Strategy for the Bank with detailed projects, owners and deliverables to support the overall strategy of the Bank
• Set and define process and operational targets for all IT units.
• Monitor and ensure that all IT Unit heads meet process and operational goals.
• Oversee the management of processes and projects run by IT units.
• Oversee and manage the design, implementation, and support activities for IT processes, systems and services, including all software, hardware and IT-related equipment.
• Liaise with IT Audit (Control) to monitor and respond to any security breaches.
• Eliminate lag/downtime
• Review Processes & Update
• Liaise with external vendors to effectively deliver on IT strategy and projects
• Evaluate alternatives, perform appropriate cost benefit analysis, and recommend solutions that maximise effectiveness and minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks.
• Undertake outlook and foresight functions to anticipate and recommend the Bank’s strategic direction for technology.
• Provide oversight for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
• Oversee and manage all IT related deployments within the Bank, including ancillary fault resolutions.
• Oversee on-going improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements, IT Security and avoiding IT compromise.
• Establish the Bank’s infrastructure to support and guide departments/sites in computing and Information Technology efforts.
• Prepare annual budget and expenditure projections for entire IT unit.
• Monitor and ensure all IT units and overall IT functions meet agreed targets.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a First Degree in any discipline
• Relevant professional certifications and/or a second degree are added advantages
• Minimum of 8 years in core IT functions
• Programming knowledge and documentation is essential

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Bank’s application systems/Channels environment
• Knowledge of database management system environment.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure and Platforms.
• Contract management
• Ability to manage supplier/vendor relationships.
• Procurement strategies
• Knowledge of IT Strategy Road Mapping
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Project or similar application
