Information Technology Administrator at Rovingheights

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Administrator, located in Lagos. The Information Technology Administrator will be responsible for providing technical support, network administration, system administration, and troubleshooting. Their daily tasks will include maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring network security, managing hardware and software installations, and resolving technical issues promptly.

Qualifications

Project Management & Collaboration Tools

• Proficiency with modern project management platforms such as SmartSuite, Trello, or Notion.
• Ability to set up workflows, assign tasks, track progress, and maintain timelines across multiple teams.
• Familiarity with integrating these tools with other productivity apps (Slack, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills to manage concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

WordPress Development & E-commerce Management

• At least 2–3 years of proven hands-on experience building and managing WordPress websites.
• Proficiency in WooCommerce setup, customization, and maintenance.
• Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot plugins and themes.
• Experience with website performance optimization (page speed, SEO readiness, mobile responsiveness).
• Understanding of basic HTML, CSS, and PHP for small fixes and adjustments.

Digital Advertising (Google & YouTube)

• Strong working knowledge of Google Ads campaign setup and management, including search, display, and shopping campaigns.
• Ability to conduct keyword research, bidding strategy, and ad optimization for better ROI.
• Experience running and analyzing YouTube ads for brand awareness and conversions.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and budget management.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting).
• Ability to interpret data into actionable insights for marketing and IT performance.
• Experience generating regular reports to guide decision-making.

Analytics & SEO Tools

• Hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console for monitoring website performance.
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals (keyword rankings, impressions, CTR, site indexing).
• Ability to troubleshoot website visibility issues and track SEO performance metrics.

Web Hosting & Server Management

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of web hosting environments, especially VPS servers.
• Ability to manage hosting dashboards, domains, SSL certificates, and email configurations.
• Experience in liaising with hosting providers for troubleshooting and server optimization.

Email & Workspace Administration

• Experience with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) for user management, email setup, and security protocols.
• Familiarity with Zoho Mail administration, including domain linking, user access, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain email deliverability and compliance (SPF, DKIM, DMARC records).
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus
