Information System Technician at IITA - International Institute of Tropical Agriculture

DUTIES:

 Post daily captions that effectively communicate key messages about events, publications, webinars, meetings and other relevant activities.

• Post content regularly on designated social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Proofread content to ensure grammatical accuracy and adherence to the Cassava breeding unit’s communication guidelines.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

COMPETENCIES:

• The ideal candidate must:
• Be familiar with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
• Display good knowledge of analytical & communication skills.
• Demonstrate good level of creativity and attention to detail.
• Have knowledge in cassava breeding, agriculture or related fields; this is an added advantage.
• Be computer literate.

Requirements

National Diploma in Mass Communication, Language Arts or any related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.
