- The ideal candidate would be responsible for managing the organizations ICT infrastructure,providing technical support for business systems,ensuring cybersecurity and data integrity,supporting client technology solutions and leading ICT Functions. The role ensures reliable technology operations,supports business growth through technical assessments,and drives continuous improvement in ICT service delivery.
The Key Responsibilities
Systems & Network Infrastructure Administration
Establish and maintain PSL's core computing and network infrastructure at Head Office.
Responsibilities include:
- configuring and administering the local area network connecting all office computers, servers, and shared peripherals
- networking all office printers for shared, multi-user access, eliminating reliance on standalone devices
- installing and maintaining routers, switches, structured cabling, and wireless access infrastructure
- maintaining internet connectivity and managing escalation with service providers on outages
Hardware, Software & Business Systems Support
Provide independent, first-line resolution of technical faults without recourse to external vendors for routine issues.
Responsibilities include:
- diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and general office equipment faults (including printers) on-site, without requiring equipment removal for routine servicing
- installing, configuring, and maintaining Sage (or equivalent accounting software) across user workstations, including user setup, updates, and first-line troubleshooting in liaison with the Finance & Accounts department
- maintaining an ICT asset register covering computers, printers, and accessories, and coordinating vendor-level repairs only where in-house resolution is not possible
Data, Access & Cybersecurity Management
- maintaining routine data backup schedules across Admin/HR, Finance, and other business systems
- managing user accounts, system access rights, and password administration
- enforcing baseline cybersecurity hygiene (antivirus, firewall configuration, patching/updates) across company systems
- supporting the integrity and confidentiality of electronic document control systems
Physical Security & Access Control Technical Assessment
Responsibilities include:
- assessing physical security and access control infrastructure at prospective and existing client sites, including CCTV, IP cameras, turnstiles, boom barriers, access control systems, vehicle passes, and bollards
- translating on-site technical findings into input for PSL's commercial proposals, identifying gaps the company is positioned to solve
- accompanying the risk assessment team on client site visits as the designated technical resource
Client Site Technical Support & Personnel Training
- providing technical support for CCTV, DVR/NVR, and control-room systems deployed at client sites, including applying temporary fixes to issues such as a faulty camera pending permanent resolution
- programming and administering access control cards/credentials for client sites as required
- transferring practical technical knowledge to deployed personnel at client sites, including basic maintenance of security equipment and minor on-site fixes
Call Centre Build-Out & Field Escalation Support
Lead the establishment of PSL's first internal call center function as a core departmental deliverable.
Responsibilities include:
- building and maintaining a dedicated escalation line accessible to field personnel across all locations (Port Harcourt, Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, Owerri)
- establishing a clear escalation protocol routing unresolved field concerns to the Operations Team Lead or Admin/HR Manager when a coordinator is unreachable
- maintaining the technical infrastructure supporting this line during operational hours
Departmental Leadership & Compliance
- functioning as substantive lead of the Tech & Innovation (ICT) department, including oversight and technical guidance of a supporting team member
- maintaining ICT-related documentation and records in line with PSL's ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements
- reporting departmental performance and technical risk findings to the Project Manager/Admin/HR Manager as part of PSL's governance structure
- recommending ICT and technical infrastructure investment priorities to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL, or Cybersecurity certifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in ICT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, and technical support.
- Relevant certification, or equivalent physical security systems training is a strong advantage, but demonstrated hands-on competence at practical assessment stage takes precedence
