    HSE Supervisor

    Our client, a rapidly growing agribusiness in Igbariam, Anambra State, is seeking a smart, experienced, and safety-focused professional HSE Officer with a minimum of 4-6 years experience The ideal will be responsible for enforcing workplace health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a secure and compliant work environment. The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.

    Responsibilities 

    • Safety Inspections & Compliance Enforcement
      • Conduct routine site inspections, monitor the use of PPE, identify unsafe practices, and ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Incident Reporting, Investigation & Risk Management
      • Document accidents, injuries, and near misses; participate in root cause analysis; propose corrective and preventive actions; and maintain accurate safety and compliance records.
    • Emergency Preparedness & HSE Training
      • Support fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency response programs; facilitate safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to strengthen the safety culture.
    • Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Support
      • Monitor waste management and pollution control practices, support sustainability initiatives, and assist in implementing environmental safety and energy conservation measures. 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
    • Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH).
    • Minimum of 2-4 years in health, safety, and environmental compliance roles.
    • Experience conducting workplace safety inspections and audits.
    • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and emergency response planning.
