Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and safety-conscious HSE Officer to support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies across our operations. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe working environment, ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, and promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Ensure employees comply with safety regulations, procedures, and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident logs, and other safety documentation.
• Monitor compliance with applicable environmental standards and waste management procedures.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills, and response procedures.
• Report unsafe practices and conditions to management and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist with HSE audits and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant HSE certification, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas or a related environment.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
• Good communication, organization, and report writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to enforce safety procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
