    HSE Officer- Kano

    Are you a safety-driven professional with deep knowledge of health and environmental regulations? Our client, a well-established diversified conglomerate with operations across multiple sectors is seeking a proactive HSE Officer to champion compliance, mitigate risks, and foster a culture of health and safety throughout their operations.

    What You’ll Do

    Enforce HSE Standards

    • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies that align with both regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    Risk Management & Inspections

    • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identifications to ensure safety protocols are upheld.

    Training & Awareness

    • Lead toolbox talks and safety training programs to equip staff with the knowledge to work responsibly and prevent incidents.

    Incident Investigation

    • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend actionable corrective and preventive measures.

    Compliance Monitoring & Reporting

    • Track HSE performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Liaise with government and industry regulators to ensure all operations are compliant with environmental and occupational safety laws.

    Safety Culture Champion

    • Promote a culture of safety, responsibility, and sustainability at all organizational levels.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
    • 5+ years’ experience in a dedicated HSE role a Blown Film or Flexible Packaging Company.
    • Strong working knowledge of HSE legislation, industrial practices, and risk management protocols
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and train teams effectively
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
    • HSE certification is an added advantage
