    HR and Admin Officer

    Our client is a group of passionate and hard-working action-takers who are in the business of eradicating trash. They research and develop new technologies with the aim of reducing plastic pollution in the areas. They are currently in need of a HR/Admin Officer

    LOCATION: Ibafo

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Administrative Management

    • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including office supplies, facilities management, and vendor relationships.
    • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to promote efficiency and compliance.
    • Manage office budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
    • Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation for internal processes.

    Human Resource Management

    • Lead recruitment efforts, including drafting job postings, conducting interviews, and collaborating with department heads to fill open positions.
    • Develop and maintain onboarding programs to ensure new hires adapt smoothly to the organization.
    • Coordinate employee performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and feedback sessions.
    • Manage employee benefits, payroll coordination, and time-off tracking.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, updating company policies as needed.

    Employee Relations and Engagement

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies and administrative inquiries.
    • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and facilitate a positive working culture.
    • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and training programs.
    • Compliance and Policy Implementation
    • Stay current on employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure organizational compliance.
    • Implement and update HR policies, procedures, and best practices consistently.
    • Maintain and secure confidential employee records and data in accordance with privacy regulations.

    Strategic Involvement

    • Participate in strategic decision-making related to workforce planning, compensation, benefits, and overall company growth.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within administrative and HR functions.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor\'s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of HR or administrative experience, with HR software or HRIS knowledge.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and time -management skills.
    • Knowledge of HR practices and labor laws.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
