Helicopter Landing Officer at WTS Energy

Job Summary

Responsible for all helicopter and personnel traffic.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage personnel traffic and make sure visitors’ logs reflect the actual state.
• Before arrival of the helicopter, inspect all safety equipment and ensure that the required personnel is present and ready.
• Arrange briefing meetings for all personnel on arrival.
• Arrange safety briefing for personnel leaving by helicopter.
• Monitor lodging and logging of all personnel on board.
• Communicate directly with helicopters, boats, and shore bases if necessary.
• Make sure crew change is executed so that off-signing personnel is released only when relievers come on board with the very same helicopter, or as approved by OIM—when relievers are ready at the inshore base and waiting for the next helicopter.
• The heli team members, while moving to and from the helicopter, are responsible for the safety of all personnel traveling to a unit.

Educational Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
