The Head, Supply Chain will lead end-to-end supply chain operations encompassing procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, and vendor relations.
The role ensures optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and continuity of supply across the organization.
You will be responsible for aligning supply chain strategies with corporate goals while driving continuous improvement, sustainability, and digital transformation throughout the value chain.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s supply chain strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
Oversee procurement planning, sourcing, and vendor contract negotiations.
Lead logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of materials and equipment.
Manage inventory control, warehousing, and stock optimization.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for importation, exportation, and local sourcing.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strategic vendor partnerships.
Implement risk mitigation and business continuity plans across the supply chain.
Drive digital transformation and automation of supply chain processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally to forecast demand and align supply priorities.
Develop and track KPIs, dashboards, and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS, or PMP are highly desirable.
A Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration is an added advantage.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in supply chain or procurement leadership roles.
Proven experience in global sourcing, logistics, and inventory management within the Oil & Gas or related sectors.
Strong understanding of Nigerian and international procurement regulations.
Experience managing supply chain operations within the maritime industry.
Exposure to digital supply chain platforms and automation tools.
