ABOUT THE ROLE
- A leading engineering company is seeking an experienced, innovative Head of Marketing to oversee the development and execution of its marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B marketing, digital strategy, and brand management, with the ability to translate market insights into impactful campaigns that drive growth. This role is pivotal to strengthening the company’s presence across multiple markets and ensuring aligned, high-performance marketing and sales efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Marketing & Communications
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that strengthens the company\'s market position and supports overall business objectives.
- Lead the creation, implementation, and measurement of marketing programs and report progress to the Executive Director.
Planning, Budgeting & Performance Monitoring
- Develop short- and long-term marketing plans and budgets.
- Monitor performance, ensure adherence to marketing objectives, and evaluate outcomes.
Market Research & Insights
- Conduct industry trend analysis, competitor research, and customer insight studies to inform positioning decisions.
- Ensure all sales verticals receive updated and relevant market intelligence.
Brand Management & Communication Standards
- Ensure consistent articulation of PPC’s brand identity across all platforms.
- Uphold “house style” standards for branding materials, communications, and internal/external presentations.
Content & Publication Management
- Oversee editorial direction, production, and distribution of corporate publications, including product brochures and marketing materials.
- Manage website content, updates, and overall digital presence.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor the Marketing & Communications team, providing direction, performance monitoring, and professional development opportunities.
Promotional Campaigns & Market Penetration
- Design and implement promotional schemes and strategies to support market penetration across all business verticals.
Special Projects & Brand Initiatives
- Lead major marketing initiatives such as rebranding, special events, and new product launches.
- Provide weekly sectoral insights and activity reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
- First degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree in Marketing is an added advantage.
Professional Qualifications
- CIMN, CIM (UK), or other relevant marketing certifications.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years in a B2B marketing environment.
- Experience working with or leading teams in a top advertising agency.
- Proven success managing both ATL and BTL campaigns end-to-end.
