Head of Internal Audit at Willers Solutions

Responsibilities

• Managing risk, controlling financial integrity, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations throughout the full audit cycle
• Prepare and deliver reports that detail the findings of the audit and the auditing process
• Help to create the company’s annual audit plan
• Obtain, examine, and assess accounting records, past reports, information, flowcharts, etc.
• Management and support of field staff in the conduct of audits and ensure that work done is compliant with the Audit Guidelines.
• Review internal audit working papers and coordinate the preparation of management letters with appropriate recommendations to the HOD/operations team/CEOs.
• Monitor and report implementation of agreed recommendations by management.
• Implement and manage risk-based audit plans and programs.
• Ensure that the resources are effectively deployed to achieve the approved plan as per the approved ERM annual business plan.
• Engage in ongoing learning about the standards, guidelines, best practices, equipment, and methodologies applicable to the industry
• Inform top management proactively of any major internal control, compliance, or governance-related risks or exposures that need immediate attention

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years experience as a Senior/ Internal Auditor or a similar role
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree/HND in accounting finance business administration or relevant field
• Master's or relevant postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
• Relevant Professional Qualification e.g. ACA or ACCA is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations, as well as auditing standards and procedures
• A keen eye for detail and exceptional analytical skills
• The capacity to create complex reports and manage huge quantities of information
• Great understanding of the concepts and practices of accounting and finance
• Powerful initiative-taking and decision-making skills
