Head of Finance at The Plenipotent Company

Our client, a Lagos Mainland based group of companies having interests in Manufacturing Logistics Services, International Trade and Engineering, seeks for an experienced Chartered Accountant possessing advanced financial modelling and negotiation skills to lead our Finance function.

Summary

We are looking for a candidate who will assume leadership responsibility for our Finance Function comprising the Treasury, Project Management, Sourcing and Financial Reporting teams. The incumbent will perform financial and operational modelling to support sound business decisions. She/he should be able to identify problems and opportunities within the company and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Experience in budgeting and cash flow forecasting; planning and monitoring; variance analysis; pricing; reporting and understanding of key performance indicators.
• Lead financial reporting and collaborate with the IT team to develop initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve internal and external reporting.
• Develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.
• Create detailed business analysis and project economics, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for the business
• Define business requirements and report them back to stakeholders and a strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Provide financial insights that help the decision-making process, and align capital and resource allocation within the business budget. He/she will drive fresh initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field. Possession of ACCA and/or CFA professional qualification or MSc/MBA in Finance will be an added advantage.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience working with senior decision makers.
• Good communication skills and Working knowledge of ERP Systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics).
• FMCG experience is an advantage.
• Preferably, candidate should be resident in Lagos mainland.
