Job Description

• Develop and implement financial strategies and long-term financial plans that align with the firm's mission and goals.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Manage the firm's liquidity, cash flow, and investment activities.
• Monitor and optimize the firm's capital structure and funding sources.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities and auditors as necessary.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the bank's assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement risk management policies and procedures, including credit risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Oversee the proper maintenance of accounting records and ensure/regulatory requirements.

General Requirements, Skills and Competence

• B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with 5 - 10 years relevant work experience.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN) is a plus.
• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a finance institution.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• High ethical standards and integrity
• Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills
• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
