Job Summary

Dangote Cement Transport is in search of a Head of Fleet Management and Maintenance to lead our fleet operations and ensure optimal performance of our vehicle assets.

The ideal candidate will excel at overseeing maintenance strategies, improving fleet efficiency, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics, analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the fleet maintenance budget, ensuring that costs are controlled while maximizing system efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with other departments on logistics and operations, ensuring seamless integration of fleet services.
• Train and supervise fleet maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Maintain records of vehicle maintenance and service history to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in fleet management and maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior managerial role.
• Strong understanding of fleet management principles, practices, and safety regulations.
• Experience working with maintenance management software and data analysis tools.
• Competence in the maintenance of CNG truck engines.
• Exceptional leadership abilities and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in managing budgets and evaluating performance metrics.
